Funding Information
Medicare - Encompass OT has a Medicare Provider number which means that some clients may be eligible under Medicare's 'Chronic Disease Management' program to receive a rebate for OT services. Important information regarding the CDM program is listed below:
- A Medicare rebate is available for a maximum of five services per patient each calendar year.
- There will be a gap fee that the patient will have to pay (the difference between the fee charged and the Medicare rebate).
- Patients must have a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangements prepared by their GP, or be residents of a residential aged care facility who are managed under a multidisciplinary care plan.
- Referrals must come from a GP. Please contact your GP to discuss whether you, your child or loved one may be eligible.
Private Health - Depending on your private health fund you may be eligible for a private health rebate. This means that your private health fund may give you some money back after attending your therapy consultation. In order to do this you must present your receipt (which is emailed to you after your appointment), to your private health fund. Your eligibility for a rebate and amount will depend on your specific health coverage. We ask that you please contact your health fund to see if your level of cover entitles you to a rebate for occupational therapy services prior to your appointment with us.
Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) - Encompass OT is a registered provider with the Department of Veteran Affairs and can provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention services to veterans who have a valid referral from their G.P.
NDIS - You will be eligible to access Encompass OT if you have a current NDIS plan and are either self or plan-managed. Fees for OT services will be set out in the service agreement in accordance with the relevant NDIA price list.
